Meet Dr. Jonathan Moore
Hello!
My name is Dr. Jonathan Moore, and I’m excited to connect with you through this newsletter. I want to take a moment to share my story and what inspires my work with individuals and families in our beautiful Barossa community.
In 2024, my wife, our two cats, and I made the big move from Sydney to South Australia. Sydney had become a little too busy for our liking, and the natural beauty of South Australia was simply too great to pass up. We originally planned to settle near Adelaide, but we quickly fell in love with the Barossa and now call it home. The people, the scenery, and the lifestyle here have truly captured our hearts.

My Professional Journey:
I graduated as a chiropractor in the year 2000, just as the Olympics lit up Sydney. Most of my career has been spent in Sydney, with a rewarding five-year chapter in regional New South Wales (Griffith). After moving to South Australia, I transitioned from running my own practice to supporting chiropractors across the Adelaide region doing locum work. Now, I’m thrilled to be opening my own practice again — Barossa Family Chiropractic.
My passions go beyond professional life: I love sport, the outdoors, nature, good food, wine, and coffee. It’s no wonder the Barossa feels like the perfect fit!
In Practice:
In practice, one of my passions is to work with babies and children, focusing on neurodevelopment — helping children develop properly, from crawling to supporting the brain-body connection that sets the foundation for learning, growth, and health. I consider it a privilege to be trusted with children and newborns, and I have spent years developing specialized skills in this area.
My work with adults dives into neurobiology, especially concerning stress and trauma. I help people identify where they are, understand how their nervous system is adapting, and support them in navigating life’s challenges — helping exhausted people find energy, and those who feel broken get moving again.
Holistic care is essential to me — I look at the whole person: nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, and the environment. Personal growth and self-discovery are also core elements of my coaching work, both individually and in groups, and with other chiropractors in their businesses.
When people ask me what I do, I love to say:
- "I help children crawl properly"
- "I help exhausted people find energy again"
- "I help mums get their brains together"
- "I help people unwind in a busy world"
- "I help those in pain get moving again"
This is the heart of my work and my passion.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better. In my upcoming newsletters and videos, I’ll share more about Barossa Family Chiropractic, our special focus areas, and how you can engage with our practice.
Take good care,
Dr. Jonathan Moore
